Domain computer fails GPUpdate /force
Symptom: GPUpdate /force doesn’t update the computer policy Cause: There are many, but in THIS case it was due to the registry.pol file needing to be renamed/removed. Resolution: Rename (or delete) C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine\Registry.pol Run Gpedit.msc as Adminstrator. Under Administrative Templates change any setting and then change it back.
